View Randy Hayes bio
Randy Hayes is a painter/ photographer. He attended the Memphis College of Arts, graduating in 1968. He grew up near Clinton, Mississippi. Among the awards he has received are the Flintridge Foundation Award, The Neddy (Tacoma Art Museum), The Betty Bowen Award (Seattle Art Museum) and the Visual Arts Award from The Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters. His work is included in the collections of The Seattle Art Museum, Tacoma Art Museum, and The Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago.
He has had solo exhibitions at The Cheekwood Museum in Nashville, The Seattle Art Museum and The Boise Art Museum and has been included in group exhibitions at The New Museum and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Randy Hayes currently has his studio in Seattle. His most recent work, Kyoto Views, will be exhibited at the Mississippi Museum of Art in 2011.
